Writing Team Chosen for NBC’s Writers On The Verge

Ali Laventhol & Tawnya Bhattacharya have been accepted into NBC’s highly-coveted Writers On The Verge Program for 2010 -2011.

Ali Laventhol & Tawnya Bhattacharya have been accepted into NBC’s highly-coveted Writers On The Verge Program for 2010 -2011. Writers on the Verge is a 12-week workshop focused on preparing writers for a staff writer position on a television series. Classes concentrate on creating an exceptional spec and pilot script. About 1,200 writers applied for this program which gives participants the opportunity to interact with industry players ranging from network executives to showrunners to agents and receive valuable feedback on their work and pitch style. Past participants have become staff writers on series including Community, Burn Notice, White Collar, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Friday Night Lights and Chuck.

Tawnya and Ali also recently optioned their feature film, DESTINATION: WEDDING, to producer Amy Salko-Robertson.
