Tax Day & Ethics

I figured April 15th called for a serious look.  This is black Friday because of taxes anyway right? The truth is that Tolga wanted to try some “one light” photography to practice where the shadows were cast on my face. He said I need a tough cookie look to complement my sugar cookie look, so […]

I figured April 15th called for a serious look.  This is black Friday because of taxes anyway right? The truth is that Tolga wanted to try some “one light” photography to practice where the shadows were cast on my face. He said I need a tough cookie look to complement my sugar cookie look, so here it is. Whatever. He did tons more. I’ll post those later. Life is tough. I’m worried about a couple friends who are trying to stand up for what is right and are being brutalized for it. It’s wrong and I have to do something about it. I’ve been pondering ethics, integrity and why greed reigns. I’ve decided to study Elie Wiesel for a while.  I found this:  http://www.eliewieselfoundation.org/

Here are some gems from Elie Wiesel.

“There may be times when we are powerless to prevent injustice, but there must never be a time when we fail to protest.” — Elie Wiesel

“We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.” — Elie Wiesel

“I swore never to be silent whenever and wherever human beings endure suffering and humiliation. We must always take sides.” — Elie Wiesel

One person of integrity can make a difference.” — Elie Wiesel

One person of integrity can certainly make a difference, but that one person also has to have the courage to take action. –Me
