Michael Marin’s Inspiring Video: Almost Seven Summits
Michael Marin posted this on his facebook on January 27, 2012.
“People often ask me why I wanted to climb Everest and what it was like to stand–literally–on top of the world. Mere words have never been adequate in response, especially since George Mallory already famously answered, “Because it’s there!” back in the 1920s, so I’ve created this video, an Everest summiteer’s answer to the question “Why?” (There’s a shameless pitch for help finding me a job or sponsorship to finance my expedition to Antarctica at the end, but if that offends your sensibilities you can always just stop watching. Sorry. A climber’s got to do what a climber’s got to do.) Enjoy!” Michael Marin
